Very fun resort to stay at. We stay-cationed here to enjoy the pool and watch the fireworks from our balcony. Contempo has great restaurants (California Grill, Chef Mickey’s, Steakhouse71) and a quiet pool with a private beach. Plus boat rentals and walking distance to the Magic Kingdom. Lots of fun! :)

In the middle of renovations. Why oh why would they put people in rooms so near those they are renovating? We kept asking that question. To no avail. The grounds and pool were great. More fun for families here than the other resorts on the monorail. They did give us money back, but that does not make up for the inconvenience while on vacation.

We recently stayed at the contemporary resort and loved it. Our room was in the Bay Lake Tower section of the hotel. We had a great view of the hotel grounds and lake. The staff was very friendly and always acknowledged us when we returned to the hotel. The location is within a 10 minute walk from the entrance to magic kingdom! Such convenience especially with small children (ours are 3 and 9). Always very clean and when the hotel staff serviced our room they left a cool towel character (flower!).

Always a pleasure to stay. They are very friendly! I have stayed here multiple times and each time I believe the place gets a little better. This time they upgraded me to a magic Kingdom View room club level promptly. The front desk is extremely helpful and I will enjoy staying here many times again as I have before.

Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is a must-do dining experience for anyone visiting Walt Disney World! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was filled with fun, laughter, and the unmistakable magic of Disney. The buffet offered a wide variety of delicious options (including those famous Mickey waffles!), and the characters made sure to visit every table for photos and autographs. Seeing Mickey and friends interact so warmly with guests was truly the highlight of our meal. The staff was incredibly attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. We can’t wait to return to Chef Mickey’s on our next trip— it’s the perfect spot for families to create unforgettable memories!
